Alumni Mentor Program

A give and get opportunity

Stay connected and make a difference. Apply to be a mentor today.

Join forces: knowledge + experience = power

We all need a helping hand sometimes. Someone to point us in the right direction. To be a sounding board and a fresh perspective. To help us fill in the blanks in our plans for the future.

That’s where the Alumni Mentor Program can help, connecting University of Phoenix students to volunteer UOPX alumni for one-on-one mentorships. The program’s mentors know first-hand how to capitalize on the value of a University of Phoenix education.

What outcomes do successful mentorships create?

Success is as unique as each mentee's mentorship goal—something the mentee and mentor work on together. Success often includes increased career insights, a broader professional network, renewed motivation and inspiration, and idea generation to help mentees remove career roadblocks.

What information do alumni mentors share?

  • My Mentor Story- Learn how I got to where I am today
  • My Company Culture- Every company has a unique internal culture. Learn more about mine
  • My Industry Resources- Learn my recommendations of books, websites and podcasts that can help ensure you're in-the-know for our industry
  • My Interview Question- You've landed an interview, but what questions will our industry ask you in the hot seat?

What if I don't want to work one-on-one?

The program offers forums where program participants can post questions to the mentor/mentee community at-large, expanding the potential for a mentee to find the support and guidance they are seeking.
